Popping Roses

Can you tell yet which is my favourite set at the moment???? This was another DCM Challenge and I have seen it somewhere - I think called paper toile - and personally I think she did a better job than me - more elaborate but I wanted to have a go at doing it with this stamp set so off I went. I went to try and find the sample again and just can't so if anyone does see it on their travels I would love a link again.

Card stock and ribbon is regal rose and it is mounted on Always Artichoke card matt. All stamping is on whisper white and I used Regal Rose and Always Artichoke inks, plus a small amount of Brocade blue and a mustard brush pens to highlight the centres of the forget-me-nots.

In terms of the rest of the card it is very simple and it just goes to show how you can make an elaborate crd from a simple base. I stamped and cut out several roses at different points of colour stamping and curled or shaped the card with some scissor blades. THe background was stamped on the flat sheet then the flowers built up some with pop mounting and some just glued but still shaped with scissors.

Not one for a standard envelope!!

I really like this Rachel, it is so pretty and as you said, an elaborate card from a simple design.

Beautiful card! I haven't seen that stamp done as decoupage but it really is outstanding (no pun intended)!

Oh Oh Oh Rachel I love this card and I just love Roses in Winter - its one of the few i kept after the retired list came out. Did you make it over to brisbane for convention? there were so many people there and it was great to see a bunch of kiwi's there too!
